All SIS students and teachers are staying home in week four of distance learning. Until March 2020, teaching with online learning and collaboration tools was used for selected projects throughout SIS schools. Not just recently, but especially in the last three weeks when online applications have increased in importance, our teachers and students have benefited from this.
Given the worldwide spread of Covid-19, we are forced to cancel the SIS Cup 2020. The fifth edition of the SIS Cup would have taken place on 18 and 19 May 2020 at SIS Pfäffikon-Schwyz in Switzerland. We are especially sorry for all students and teachers who have already prepared with anticipation and thank everyone involved for helping with the preparations that have been made. We hope that the situation eases soon and we are already looking forward to the SIS Cup 2021.
Due to the current situation, the SIS Maths Day, which was planned to happen on 17 March 2020, is postponed. A new date will be set in the future. The SIS Maths Day is this year's interschool activity. This event, demanding speed and logical thinking in solving mathematical problems, connects all 16 schools to strengthen the SIS network. Groups from grades 1 to 10 will play simultaneously using the “Mathletics Live” platform.
