Students of SIS Swiss International School Stuttgart-Fellbach won the “Echt kuh-l!“ trophy in the category research. “Echt kuh-l” is a school competition set up by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture aimed at involving students in questions about sustainability in farming and food production. Two teams of SIS Stuttgart-Fellbach’s grade 10 students participated in the competition.Their projects required not only teamwork, but also skills in programming and electrical engineering. Congratulations!
We are pleased to share the 2020 editions of our country-issued magazines emphaSIS. Each publication elaborates on one topic in depth, supplemented by insights into the school locations of the respective country and an entertainment section. Enjoy the reading.
We are looking forward to, slowly but surely, welcoming our students again in person! While the school closures were largely decided upon at the same time for all 16 SIS schools, there are large regional differences in the concept for reopening schools. Distance learning continues in Brazil while in Germany the graduation classes were able to re-enter the classrooms last week – subject to various protective measures. In Switzerland, schools will open their doors again next week on Monday 11 May, with cantonal differences in implementation. We are preparing carefully for the reunion with our students and even if it will not be quite the same as before, we can hardly wait to see their smiling faces!
